Frequently Asked Questions

Have any questions about our rustic wedding venue? Read our Frequently Asked Questions to find out more. If you can’t find the information you need, get in touch – we’ll be happy to help!

Are you dog friendly?
Yes – in a big way!

Does The Cow Shed’s packages include registrar fees and arrangements?
Unfortunately, no. We’re not allowed to make arrangements with the registrar on your behalf. However, we’re happy to point everyone in the right direction though.

Are meals included in our wedding packages?
Only our hearty homemade breakfasts for guests staying the farmhouse are included in our wedding packages. We can introduce you to our in-house chef, Debbie, to discuss menu options.

Do you have your own photographer, florist, hair stylist etc?
Whilst we don’t these in-house, we have loads of our favourite local suppliers who we wholeheartedly recommend and trust.

Is venue décor included?
Venue decor as seen on the website (minus fresh flower displays) is included in venue hire. Couples are welcome to add their own but the various up-cycled props, fairy lights, bunting etc. seen around the venue are all available for you to use at no extra cost. Anything that is required tends to be made available so you don’t have to think or worry about anything.

How many people does the on-site accommodation sleep?
Our 18th century farmhouse has two double rooms which sleeps two people each, and one family room which sleeps four.

Can we organise our own catering?
We have a very talented in-house chef (Debbie) but we do not get involved in the arrangements or fees for this. We introduce our couples to Debbie and they make their own arrangements. Debbie can provide all manner of menu options (formal multi course dining, sharing platters, picnics, afternoon teas & also BBQs) and is particularly skilled with vegan & vegetarian dishes. She can also arrange a special home cooked meal on arrival night for everyone staying at the farmhouse.

We do not insist that couples use our chef – you are free to book any caterer of your choice – and we welcome all suppliers.

We have a kitchen barn next the the Milking Parlour that outside caterers are welcome to use as a preparation area. There is electricity, a catering sink and several chillers and freezer, caterers will need to hire in their own pop up ovens and appliances etc.

How big is The Cow Shed?
